The Environment and Sustainability Forum (SEMD) will be held in Paris, at the Palais Brongniart, the former Stock Exchange, from the 12th to the 14th of June 2008. It is the essential place to be for all decision-makers in environmental business solutions. It will gather around 100 exhibitors. Ten thousand visitors are expected to attend SEMD over three days.
The event is organized under the patronage of the French
Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development, the Ministry of Natural
Resources and UNESCO. Key-players in both state and private sectors will
have the opportunity to promote their technologies, innovations and expertise,
as well as to share their inside experience and best practices in sustainable
development with industrialists, CEOs, and local councillors. SEMD is
also presenting seventeen high-level conferences by key-players from the
Grenelle de l'Environnement.
The first two days are dedicated to professionals and present an overview
of innovative solutions, training and the latest information in the sustainable
development sector while the third day is addressed to both professional
and people at large.
SEMD is a 100% carbon-compensated event, which means that we will compensate carbon emissions arising from the organization of the exhibition (transportation of delegates, stand manufacturing, etc.) and offers an ideal opportunity for companies and government departments to discover a large range of professional new tools to reduce their energy costs, develop new initiatives and benefit the environment.

La Bourse, the old stock exchange, a symbolic location to meet key-players of environment and sustainable development. Today, finance and environment are inseparable.
We aim to help governments and the private sector to:
- Answer their environmental strategies questions: how to dispose of used
water and waste, reduce energy costs, and abide by environmental regulation.
- Add value to their assets ( by, for example, installing photovoltaïc
cells on a roof, or processing soil from factories, and producing energy
from biomass or waste).
- Present the original environmental business models to increase growth
in a long life span (i.e ., sell the green energy they produce, consume
less and produce better)
- Meet customers from all sectors involved in saving the environment while
doing good business.
